A cherry is a fleshy drupe (stone fruit) belonging to the genus prunus, which also includes fruits like plums, peaches and apricots. (Prunus avium is the name given to wild cherry as well as the cherry tree).
A cherry has a stony hard seed in the center surrounded by edible fleshy fruit measuring around 2 cm in diameter. It also has a very thin skin which is bright and shiny purple or red in colour.

All seeds are tested and grown on our farm in Malawi and our growing area in South Africa. Please check conditions in your area for the type of seed to be grown. Growth rates and germination times are dependent on many factors such as soil conditions, rainfall/watering patterns, climate, and many more.
