Butter beans are great with soups, stews, or as a side dish to many meals. Butter beans are typically white or cream-colored and are flat and slightly curved in shape.
They typically measure between 0.6 to 2.5 cm in length. Some varieties are speckled with brown or deep purple spots, though most of the time these color aberrations are limited to home-grown varieties — the vast majority of commercially-available beans are uniformly cream-colored. Plant the seeds about 20 to 30mm deep and 150 to 250mm apart.
Cover and water thoroughly. You should see sprouts in about one to two weeks. As with any beans, it is a good idea to have a pole or some kind of support for the butter beans to climb up.

Every seed variety undergoes organic cultivation and self-testing on our South African, Botswanan, Zambian, and Tanzanian farms. Our commitment lies in offering a diverse selection of organically grown, open-pollinated, Non-GMO seeds, proudly produced and acclimated locally.

Before planting, please verify the conditions in your area suitable for the specific seed type. Growth rates and germination times hinge on various factors like soil conditions, rainfall/watering patterns, climate, and more. The outcome of growth and harvest may be influenced by these conditions.
